Couch to Summit Climb Mount Everest – MS Society – £526.94

2017

BizFit – Couch2Summit Climb Mount Everest – MS Society – £526.94

As part of our charity drive for the MS Society we agreed to not only Sponsor the event by insuring it, but also to take part.

The plan was for the team to climb the equivalent of Mount Everest by going up and down a rather steep hill in the Malverns!

It was hard work and I’m glad to say that we did it and raised over £500 on top of paying for the liability Insurance

A message from Bizfit Couch2Summit Charity Challenge:

“The money raised from the entrance fees and sponsorship goes directly to charity.

This year our flagship charity is The Multiple Sclerosis Society, a cause very close to the heart of one of our main sponsorship partners, Cass-Stephens Insurances Ltd.

Director, Matt Cass, of Cass-Stephens Insurances Ltd is proud to be providing the Public Liability Insurance Cover for the event on Friday 23 June 2017.

Parksure is very much an ethical family business, and last year Cass-Stephens celebrated 50 years in business with a series of charity and community based projects.

It’s this ethos of giving something back and doing good for the community that fits so well within the Biz-Fit values.  We are delighted that Matt, and the team at Cass-Stephens have decided to join us.

Talking about his company’s involvement Matt explains, “Most of us know someone who is affected by MS in one way or another, whether they are an MS suffer, carer, family member, or a friend of someone with this incurable disease.”

“As a business with a Head Office within the 3 counties, we felt that providing the insurance cover for the event was the least we could do to show our support and contribute to the fundraising, vital for research.”

In fact, Matt’s colleagues have taken their commitment one stage further and will be pulling together their own team to attempt the climb on the day itself.

“We see this as a great opportunity for the team to come together, to get fit and of course raise money for charity as well as having fun.”
