Care Sector Insurance
The Care Sector Insurance market can be quite restricted, especially when you bear in the mind how wide a range of services to the vulnerable members of our society care providers offer. As a result the sector can face many different risks and challenges.
At Cass-Stephens, we have over 30 years’ experience of providing risk management and insurance advice to all types of organisations involved in the care sector.
Our approach is to establish a close client relationship, ensuring we have a good understanding of the client’s business. We then tailor the insurance and risk management arrangements to the client’s needs. We adopt strict selection criteria in respect of the care sector insurance providers that work with Cass-Stephens and we pay particular attention to their long term commitment to the sector. Based on our approach, we enjoy long term relationships over many years with our clients:
Care Home Insurance
Nursing Home Insurance
Domiciliary Care Insurance
Supported Living Insurance
Respite Care Providers Insurance
In an ever changing care sector insurance market, we enjoy close relationships with leading underwriters to ensure that we can negotiate for our clients the cover they need at the right premium.
In the summer of 2017 we launched our own, exclusive Care Home Insurance Scheme, InsurewithCare. Underwritten by Berkshire Hathaway, the scheme is aimed specifically at Care Homes that look after service users who have the following challenges:
- Physical Disabilities
- Sensory Loss
- Learning Disabilities
- Mental Health Difficulties
- Substance Misuse challenges
- Display or have a history of violent or aggressive behaviour

Our expertise in working with care providers means that we can independently advise you on the differences in cover provided by the few insurance companies who underwrite your business. For example, what cover do they provide in respect of “treatment”? Some Insurers offer a very restricted cover, others much wider. We will advise you on which cover type is most suited to your needs. Other important considerations include how the insurance company treat the issue of Abuse. Some exclude it, some restrict the limit, others the claims basis. We will explain these issues to you and work with you to obtain the right insurance solution.
We can assist you with the full range of insurance requirements you may have including property, liability, motor covers to name a few.
We are proud to be partners of the Gloucestershire Care Providers Association.
